Kerby Lane Restaurant in Austin Texas

Since 1980 Kerby Lane in Austin Texas has been known as a great local eatery. The original restaurant is located, true to its name, on Kerby Lane off 35th east of MoPac. I more frequently visit the northern Austin location which just moved from west of 183/Research near Spicewood Springs to slightly further north on the east side of 183 Research. Their new location is just south of Anderson Mill at 183 in the old center that used to be anchored by Albertson's. I also noticed their pancake mix is now at my local HEB Plus in Leander for $5.79. I bought the Gingerbread Pancake Mix which says "All Natural, No Trans Fats" and advises you to "Make plenty. They go like hotcakes". It also makes the claim that if you took all the pancakes ever served at Kerby Lane and placed them side by side that they would stretch from Austin to Denver but that would be a "colossal waste of a whole bunch of really great pancakes." Peace through pancakes!
