The City of Leander offers a variety of activities specifically for senior citizens.
First of all there is the Active Adult Morning Club for active adults 50 years or better. It is held in half of the Parks and Recreation Dept. at 406 Municipal Drive in Leander.
Then there are Morning Day Trips into places like the Scottish Rite Theatre in Austin, Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham, shopping in Salado, downtown Wimberley, Aquarena Springs in San Marcos, the beer brewery in Shiner or others.
The Bagdad Activity Center is another place to enjoy the company of other seniors and offers meals on wheels- meals delived to homes of the disabled or lunch there for a $2.00 donation to seniors 60 years or better. There are also activities like Dominos, Bingo, Painting & Crafts alng with the occassional guest speaker.
