Eat Local but South of The Border in Austin Texas

South of The Border Style Food

Today is our 6th Wedding Anniversary. For lunch we ate at

Casa Chapala at 3010 W Anderson Ln # D Austin, TX 78757 (512) 459-4242 http://www.casachapala.com/

You always fell warm and welcome at Casa Chapala. They make your hot sauce at your table the way you like it. Big leather menus remind you of the fine leather craftmanship in Mexico. After we ate a bowl of chicken tortilla soup we had a tequila shot to celebrate our anniversary. Our server mixed it with soda water and banged it on the table to make it fizz. It was a great smooth, easy to swallow tequila. They have over 150 different kinds.

This evening we will eat at
Casa Columbia
1614 E. Seventh St. Austin, TX 78702 http://www.casa-colombia.com/ (512) 495-9425

It is WAY south of the border Columbian style food. I am anxious to try it. Located in East Austin, East of IH 35, I drove by it the other day on my way to J&F CARPETS at 3301 E. 7TH ST., AUSTIN,TX 78702. I found some $5.00 a yard remnant carpet for a home I am selling in Leander.
